1. Agreement
By creating an account, accepting legal documents in the app, or using LoomaVita, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
LoomaVita is a digital wellness companion operated by Loomavita (Pty) Ltd. Features may include health helpers, fitness, diet/meals, family controls, messaging, and optional paid AI companion features (“Chikabi”).
Not medical care. LoomaVita is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use local emergency services for emergencies.
Closed beta. Features may be incomplete, change, or be withdrawn. A separate closed-beta NDA may be required.
3. Eligibility
- Solo registration requires age 18+
- Under-18 access, when offered, requires parent/guardian invite
- Provide accurate registration details
- Do not create multiple accounts to evade rules
4. Accounts, security, and delete userdata
Sign-in uses phone OTP. You are responsible for devices and sessions you leave signed in. You may review/revoke sessions in Settings where available.
Delete userdata: Home/Profile → Settings → Personal data → Edit preferences → Delete userdata, then type exactly data delete. After delete, the account is soft-deleted, sessions are revoked, and the app will not function correctly for that account. Same phone/email re-use may require Support until ops hard purge.
5. Acceptable use
- No unlawful use or harm to others
- No unauthorised access to admin, partner, or other users
- No reverse engineering, scraping, or abuse of systems
- No sharing accounts or circumventing entitlements
- No malware or abusive content
- Do not treat Chikabi output as clinical advice or generate unlawful content
6. Subscriptions and Chikabi
Free/manual tiers (where offered) do not include unlimited AI. Paid features require an active entitlement (e.g. App Store / Google Play). Chikabi tool writes that change data generally require your confirmation. Store billing follows Apple/Google rules.
7. Health and safety
Tracking and suggestions are informational wellness aids only. You remain responsible for medication and care decisions with your clinician. Crisis situations require local emergency or crisis services.
8. Intellectual property
App, branding, and software are owned by Loomavita (Pty) Ltd or licensors. You retain rights in content you create, with a licence for us to host/process it to provide the service. Feedback may be used without compensation.
9. Privacy
Personal information is processed as described in the Privacy Policy, including how to delete your data.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” during closed beta. Liability is limited as set out in the full Terms text (PDF). Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
